DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE TRICK.png

Rep. Kevin Kiley says he cares about stopping human trafficking.

But when it comes to the Epstein files — and the one step that matters, signing the petition to force a vote — he won’t do it.

Some Republicans have stepped up. Not Kiley. Instead, he rolled out a shiny new bill that sounds good but will almost certainly go nowhere. It’s a token gesture and a political trick: avoid the tough stand, then claim credit for caring.

It’s time to hold Trump accountable. We need courage, not distractions.

Tourism is twice as important to CA-03 compared California overall. Why are our leaders going along with cuts that put it at risk?

Tourism is one of CA-03’s crown jewels—It's one of our top economic drivers . Visitors to Tahoe, Truckee, Mammoth, and our Sierra forests spend between $4.6–6 billion a year—supporting thousands of local jobs and much of our small-business economy.

The Forest Service doesn’t just manage trails and campgrounds—it protects the landscapes that fuel our visitor economy and make this district special. Cutting its capacity to serve the public isn’t belt-tightening. It’s taking a wrecking ball to one of the few sectors where our district punches above its weight.

Checks and balances? Not any more!

The three branches of government should keep each other in check. Right? But today’s Supreme Court is giving Trump blank checks—letting him grab more power, ignore Congress, and sidestep the Constitution.

image of angry voters in California district 3

MAGA’s Grip Is Slipping. Voters are waking up — and speaking out.

A new article from SFGATE spotlights a surprising political shift happening right here in California’s Congressional District 3. For the first time in years, voters in rural, traditionally conservative towns are speaking out — and the reasons are personal:

  • Medicaid cuts in Trump’s second-term budget put over 100,000 people in this district at risk of losing care — from seniors and veterans to young families.

  • Public lands and local economies are being left exposed as federal staffing is gutted and protections rolled back — threatening the recreation and natural resources that sustain these communities.

Rep. Kevin Kiley’s support for Trump’s Big Betrayal Bill— including Medicaid cuts that could affect over 100,000 of his constituents — has sparked public outcry. Critics call him absent and unresponsive. https://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/calif-big-political-fight-mountain-towns-20357579.php

Image showing average tax relief for wealthy vs middle vs lower class

MAGA Republicans made sure they could say everyone gets a little something in the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

But look closer: the rich walk away with the biggest gains—4.4% after taxes—while middle-income families get 2.3% and low-income workers get barely 1%.

That's an average of $21,000 for the rich, $1,780 for middle income, and $150 for low income earners. And now MILLIONS of those SAME families are also set to lose their healthcare or get reduced benefits.

This isn’t reform. It’s a massive transfer of wealth upward—plain and simple.

MAGA promised to put veterans first.

Now the VA is moving to cut 80,000 jobs—with no clear plan to protect rural clinics or mental health support. In the Sierra and Sacramento region, that’s not politics—it’s personal.

How does gutting care for those who served make America stronger?

Dastardly Politics

They think we won’t notice. They’re wrong.

Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” was written to trick voters. The worst cuts don’t kick in until after the 2026 elections—so you won’t feel the pain until it’s too late to hold them accountable.
— ACA subsidies vanish for over 5 million people in early 2027
— Medicaid caps and work rules start rolling out late 2026
— Clean energy incentives disappear mid-2026 onward
— Cuts to veterans’ services and Social Security staffing hit 2027 budgets
They didn’t just sell us out.
They timed it so we wouldn’t know until it was too late.

Promises of reduced prices from Trump’s rhetoric didn’t last.

Inflation jumped from 2.4% to 2.7% in June—fueled by tariffs, higher gas prices, and rising costs across the board. Culture wars won’t fix it. Neither will blaming someone else.
Trump said he’d bring prices down. So why are working families paying more?

Wildfire_Distraction Politics

While our forests burn, Kevin Kiley plays politics.

Our Congressman stood by silently as DOGE gutted wildfire response in our area—slashing the staff, grants, and tools we rely on to stay safe. But instead of fighting for real help, he’s demanding a federal investigation into a Southern California charity concert that helped feed and clothe wildfire survivors.

What matters more to you — partisan headlines or a Congressman who stays focused on protecting his own constituents?

side by side quotes from Kiley and LA times

What Kevin Kiley said vs. what’s really happening.

In May, Rep. Kevin Kiley posted a smiling photo-op with Forest Service officials, claiming they were “well-staffed” and that things were looking good for wildfire season.

But now? A new report from the LA Times reveals the truth:

Federal agencies are being gutted — with deep cuts to wildfire response, climate resilience, and public land management. And California leaders are sounding the alarm.

We need leadership that tells the truth — not one more #PhotoOpPolitics moment while the state burns.

Can we really trust leaders who talk tough—until a check clears?

In 2019, then-Rocklin Mayor Joe Patterson publicly challenged PG&E, declaring the city had a duty to provide reliable energy and should consider leaving the utility altogether.

In 2025, after accepting $7,000 in campaign donations from PG&E, now-Assemblyman Patterson abstained from a key vote to stop utility price hikes.

What changed?
Not the voters. Just the price of his principles.
We deserve better.

Social Security Letter side by side

Government communications should be clear, honest, and nonpartisan. That’s not a radical idea — it’s basic trust.

The Social Security Administration just used a mass email to blur the line between fact and spin, making it sound like Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” eliminates taxes on Social Security benefits. That’s not true.

What really passed? A temporary deduction that gives modest relief to only about 18 million middle-income seniors. But here’s what they don’t say:
- Approximately 64% of seniors already don’t pay federal tax on their Social Security
- The tax isn’t going away — not now, not under this bill
- The deduction expires after 2028

The email’s claim that “90% will no longer pay” is technically manipulative and politically charged. This kind of spin doesn’t belong in official government messages.

It’s misleading. It’s political. And it’s not what we voted for.
