About Us
We work hard. We vote. And we’re tired of chaos, rising prices, and broken promises.
We are centrist voices. More common ground. Less screaming.
Not What I Voted For is a volunteer-powered effort based in California’s Third Congressional District—from the Sacramento suburbs to the Eastern Sierra.
This website and our Facebook page are spaces for a growing community of center-leaning voters who are tired of the noise: rising costs, failing public services, and politicians who chase headlines instead of solving real solutions. Whether you’re a lifelong independent, a moderate Republican, or a frustrated Democrat, you’re not alone—and you’re not imagining things. What’s happening isn’t what we were promised. And it's definitely not what we voted for.
We started this project to give voice to the people being left behind. Our goal is to educate and engage our neighbors, elevate national and local stories that affect our daily lives, and focus on facts—not spin. We call out politicians that put power over people.
We believe in strong leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a government that works for regular Americans. We believe truth matters. And we believe that accountability starts with paying attention—and speaking up.
We’re local volunteers—not political operatives—coming together from a range of political perspectives. What unites us is a commitment to facts, accountability, and a government that serves real people. We welcome anyone who shares that mindset.
